Visivi for Routeview Release Notes
V3.2
Released 20 May 2018
New Features
Starred Images
We have added the capability to mark an image as a Favourite by clicking the Star icon on the
image card. You can then use these Favourites as bookmarks to locations you visit often.
A new Dashboard screen has been added to show each of your favourite images and also your
most recently viewed images to help get back to locations you are likely to interested in
based on your recent history. You can access the Dashboard from the Home Menu.
Updated Features
Updated Infrastructure
We have restructured the infrastructure which runs Visivi to make use of updated server
processing power, and storage, as well as refactoring how we store data and deliver it
to the client’s browser. This brings the benefits performance improvements on image
viewing and searching, and a more efficient structure to allow our next raft of changes
to be published sooner.
We have replaced the old GIS server with a new version on new, faster, hardware so the
mapping should display more rapidly than before.
Upload Tool Tweaks
We have made a minor tweak to the Upload Tool to make it easier for multiple users to
import and update their own images.
GDPR
We have made a few changes to our Privacy Policy to meet the requirements of GDPR, just
to explain in very plain language how we look after your personal data and who to contact
should you have any queries about this.
ELR is back
We had removed the ELR display from the image card, and updated the ELR measuring tool
to make it more useful, but after listening to feedback from users, we had added it back.
Each image is now referenced by its ELR (of the viewpoint on the image), rather than filename,
and this new ELR-based image name is displayed on the image card and appears in the
search results when you search by ELR.
V3.0.19
New Features
ELR search
You can now enter a valid ELR into the search box and see a lit of matching ELR results. Click on one of the results to zoom the map to that location. Entering just the line reference e.g.: HSX1 will zoom to the extent of that line.
ELR Info Tool
The calculated ELR of a point on the map when using the Info Tool is now displayed on an Feature Information Card below the Seatch Box, rather than a separate popup window at the cursor location.
Book AirOps Tool
The bookairops tool has been refreshed and a link to it added to the Home Menu. This allows users to specify a new required aerial survey location and type, and send off a request to the AirOps team.
New Telecoms Sites Layer
A new map layer has been added showing the location of all telecoms sites along the railway. These are shown as Yellow Triangles, and appear when zoomed into a medium scale on the mapping. Their reference labels become visible as you zoom into larger scales.
Their labels have been added to the search tool so entering any part of their label such as the 4 alphanumeric reference (eg TUEB) will bring them up in the search results. Clicking on one of the results will zoom the map to that location.
